The Day One Plenary sessions began with presentations by the CJMTK management team: Sue Riley, NGA; Brett Cameron, Northrop Grumman; and Gary Scoffield, ESRI. Topics included CJMTK program updates; CJMTK as a platform for integration; and ESRI technical capabilities, support and resources for developers. In addition, Sue Riley, NGA Program Manager of CJMTK and GVS, presented an overview of the GEOINT Visualization Services (GVS) program which provides a foundation for "visible integration" of net-centric GEOINT services. GVS is an important source of data for the C2I community that will be available on both SIPRNET and JWICS. The second half of the day focused on dynamic overviews of experiences and lessons learned from CJMTK approved mission applications. These presentations discussed migrating to CJMTK for implementation of geospatial capabilities and demonstrated the flexibility of the toolkit by showing in vehicle, client, enterprise, and web service solutions. Programs presented included:
Day Two of the conference began with a Keynote Address by Dr. Keith Littlefield, Director of Acquisitions for NGA which examined the progress made on CJMTK in the five years since the award of the contract. The remainder of the day consisted of technical seminars provided by CJMTK and ESRI. These seminars focused on a variety of topics including: new capabilities in 9.2; Enterprise GIS architectural considerations; and developing with ArcGIS Engine, ArcGIS Server, Military Analyst, MOLE (2525B symbology rendering), and Geodatabase. The conference also provided opportunities for networking and technical exchange of ideas. Attendees interacted with NGA, MCG&I representatives, CJMTK staff and ESRI presenters.
In addition, we would like to thank ESRI for providing refreshments for the conference.
