(CJMTK) Extensions
The BTRA CJMTK Extensions (BCE) project provides the BTRA analysis capabilities to the CJMTK Mission Application development community. The BCE effort provides a mechanism to transition the capabilities from BTRA to programs that can leverage those capabilities and field them to the Warfighter.
BTRA-BC – Battlespace Terrain Reasoning Awareness – Battle Command (BTRA-BC) is a U.S. Army Topographic Engineer Center (TEC) program which performs research and development to create advanced geospatial analysis and processing capabilities, supporting a wide range of missions for the Warfighter.  The BTRA-BC program has four Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC)  labs participating:
  • Topographic Engineer Center(TEC)
  • Geotechnical  & Structures Laboratory (GSL)
  • Cold Regions Research & Engineering Laboratory (CRREL)
  • Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL)
CJMTK – The Commercial Joint Mapping Toolkit (CJMTK) provides a geospatial toolkit for programs and projects to develop specific applications that are fielded to command and control and intelligence operators.
BCE – The BTRA CJMTK Extensions (BCE) project is the result of a Technology Transition Agreement (TTA) between U.S. Army TEC and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).  The TTA names TEC as the Terrain Center of Excellence for CJMTK and provides a mechanism to transition capabilities.
  • BTRA-BC designs and develops the engines
  • CJMTK provides the distribution and support mechanism
  • BCE provides maintenance support to the CJMTK developer community for the BTRA engines
  • BTRA-BC engines can be found in the CJMTK segment download section.
  • RISAs will be posted to the CJMTK RISA section. Engines and RISA will be posted periodically as they become available through the BCE effort.

    • Note: The Network Generator and Movement Projection engines require the Network Analyst extension. This extension can be purchased to augment the CJMTK license. For more information on how to acquire this license contact Simon Warwick.
